SMS Terms of Service

Effective Date: January 21, 2026

1. Program Name and Sender Identity

This SMS program is operated by the SkyWest ALPA Organizing Committee, a group of SkyWest Airlines line pilots working toward ALPA representation. Messages are sent from numbers associated with this organizing effort.

2. Message Types

By opting in, you agree to receive:

  • Informational messages: Updates about the ALPA organizing campaign that you have requested
  • Customer-care messages: Responses to your questions, callback coordination, and confirmation of contact information

This program does not send marketing or promotional messages unrelated to the organizing campaign.

3. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies. Typical: 1–4 messages per month, plus replies as needed when you contact us. Message volume may increase during significant campaign developments.

4. Message and Data Rates

Msg & data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details about your text messaging plan.

5. Opt-Out Instructions

You may opt out of receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive a confirmation message and will no longer receive SMS messages from this program.

6. Help

For assistance, reply HELP to any message, or contact us at pilots@skywestalpa.org.

7. Consent Not Required

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any service. You can participate in the organizing effort and receive information through other channels without opting in to SMS.

8. No Sale of Personal Information

We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your information is used solely for the purposes described in this program.

9. Data Retention

We retain your phone number and opt-in consent record for as long as you remain subscribed to the SMS program, plus a reasonable period afterward for compliance and legal purposes. If you opt out, we retain a record of your opt-out request to ensure we do not message you again.

10. Carriers and Compatibility

SMS messages are sent via standard SMS protocols. Supported carriers include but are not limited to AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and Sprint. Message delivery is subject to carrier network availability.

11. Limitation of Liability

The SkyWest ALPA Organizing Committee is not liable for delays or failures in SMS delivery caused by carrier networks, device compatibility, or other factors outside our control.

We may update these terms periodically. Continued participation in the SMS program after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
